Life Group Meetings

Bible with the Bishop

Open to all who desire to dive deeper into Apostolic doctrine, this three-part Life Group, led by Pastor Jones, will meet at the church on 9/21, 10/26, and 11/16 at 10am. Please come with questions and a hunger for truth.

Prayer Group

Using the book Visitation by pastor Jason Sciscoe as a guide, the Prayer Life Group will strengthen, deepen, and enrich your walk with the Lord. Meeting on 9/17, 10/1, and 11/5, these Tuesday night meeting are being held at the Burmeisters' home.

Bible Brunch Bunch

Pickleball

A Life Group for ladies aged 12 and over, the Bible Brunch Bunch will be a time of faith, fellowship, and good food. We will read through the book of Esther together, have a short discussion regarding the Word, and share a great brunch. Spanning four Saturdays, this Life Group will meet on 9/21,10/5, 10/19, and 11/2 at 9am at the church.
Pickleball is a fun and engaging sport, and is a great way to connect with others. Similar to tennis, but on a smaller scale, pickleball is easy to learn and can be played by people of all ages. A paddle is required to play; extras will be available for those who do not have one.
Meeting at noon on Saturdays from 9/21 - 11/2 at various outdoor courts around town. Drop in any time! Please register to get on the information distribution list.

Fishing Group

Personal Finances

Fellowshipping in the great outdoors! Bring your tackle box, bait, fishing pole, and sense of adventure. Everyone aged 14 and over are welcome to join as we explore different fishing spots around our great area. Meeting Saturday mornings, weather dependent. Please register to get on the information distribution list.
The Personal Finance Life Group is open to anyone who would like to improve in the area of financial stewardship. We will learn what the Bible says about money and we explore concrete principles of financial well being. Topics will include budgeting, saving, investing, and more. The group will meet via Zoom so we may need to adjust the day and time to accommodate people's schedules. Sessions will be recorded and available for review. Pastor Thomas will coordinate time and share the Zoom link with all who register.

Search for Truth Bible Study

Run / Walk Group

Explore the classic Bible study which will take you cover-to-cover, from Genesis to Revelation, giving you a complete picture of the setting, cultures, history, message, and doctrines of the Bible. We will look at the beginning of time and God's covenant with people from the Old Testament, all the way through to the New Testament, confirming the gospel of Jesus Christ, the history of the church, and through the book of Revelation. Sis. Joni Tarnaski is leading this Life Group via Zoom on Thursdays at 7pm, with a potential in-person meeting once per month.
We h♡te running, and you can too! Get in shape, make new friends, enjoy the outdoors, do something you never thought you'd be able to do, and maybe, just maybe, find out you enjoy it. We will start with a 5k (3.1 miles) and end with a 5k. Biggest improvement over the 8-week program will receive a special prize. Walkers are welcome too! Attendance at all meetings is not required - feel free to drop in when you can. Just let us know you are interested so we can communicate the meeting spot, as it will change depending on which local trail we are exploring. Meeting Saturdays at 8am, with coffee and donuts following.

The Art of Parenting

Around the World in 60 Days

There is an approach to parenting that can reduce the stress and increase the harmony in your home. Based on decades of teaching from Dennis and Barbara Rainey, and insights from other notable parenting advisors, Family Life's Art of Parenting highlights the core issues that every parent and child need to address together. Subjects will include: the goal of parenting; forming character; applying discipline; building relationships; understanding identity; nurturing identity; preparing for mission; the power of family. NOTE: This is a 2-day intensive group - Part One on Saturday, September 28th, Part Two on Saturday, October 19th. Childcare will be provided. Required Materials: Family Life's Art of Parenting Workbook. Meeting at the Turners' home or the church, depending on demand.
Join us on a culinary exploration of ethnic cuisines from around the world! Meeting on select Sundays after church (9/22, 10/13, 10/27, 11/10, 11/24), we will experience the authentic food and cultures of our diverse population at local restaurants. Attendance at every event is not required. Please sign up if you are interested and we will make sure you know where the group is headed each week.
